Jeff Amurao grew up playing tennis as a top flight USTA junior in northern Delaware. After a stellar athletic and academic high school career, Jeff studied at Georgetown University where he played tennis for the NCAA Division I Hoyas.
He subsequently attended the Pratt Institute Graduate School of Art and Design in New York City, studying with renowned educator/photographer Arthur Freed and Guggenheim award recipient Philip Perkis.
In addition to tennis, Jeff's interests include photography, art and design, philosophy, and theatre games. His diverse educational background informs a flexible multifaceted approach to tennis instruction and coaching. He brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience, incorporating the most current and tested approaches to stroke production, movement, tactics/strategy, and the mental game.
Jeff lives in Brooklyn NY with his wife Kaye and their daughters Isabel and Gabriela.
